Brief description of work
Volunteers will be able to:
- Make a visible change in the community
- Explore unique Cambodian culture and lifestyle
- Visit a large range of Cambodian landscape
- Live in the ACE hostel with other volunteers
Scheduled work: volunteers will have the opportunity to instruct English and art courses to young pupils at our local schools situated in the slums of Phnom Penh. They will help the children learn how to take better care of themselves by hosting courses on nutrition, health, and hygiene. Construction experience is available too, as ACE is involved in a few development projects. ACE will assist volunteers in exploring Cambodia, meeting locals and sightseeing. Volunteers will be exposed to a unique Cambodian experience through different excursions and activities around the country.
Program Inclusions:
Volunteers have the option to choose any or all of the following
- Teaching pupils English (long- term volunteers)
- Construction projects
- Teaching courses on health and hygiene
- Visit historical sites: The Royal Palace, National Museum, S-21 Toul Sleng Genocide Museum
General Requirements
- Participants must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult
